Not very much happended during the time I last posted an update. We do have some lionhead litter due this month. So will see how that goes! Also I will be reducing my herd number.  I will be too busy with school beginning. I come back at 4:30 then have two horses to ride, others to train, the barn to clean, homework, the bunnies. There is just not enough hours in a day!

So with much thought I have been deciding who to sell and who not to sell. It more difficult then you would think. But I have finaly updated my sales page, I'm still making choices so some more may be added.

I have quite a few upcoming junior lionheads. Getting the type I want with nice dense manes and good bone! So happy with that!!!! Love how some are developing, especially the tortoise holland lop jr by KK Ezra and out of Mossypossum Butternut! I am happy with were I'm at with my junior stock, this being my first year in July. I must thank everyone who has helped me with everything! THANK YOU!!!!
Will update more soon. Many bunnies still going threw a molt..... Hoping they finish before Spencerville!

Hop on by soon! Thanks for visiting!

Hi there! Hope everyone is enjoying summer.

I now have a broken blue buck, chocolate and an otter black hollands to my rabbitry!
Very exciting. Thank you Madeliene!

This week I have done quite a few holland lop breedings also. Very excited about these breedings as I am looking forward to the colours thet may be produced and of course quality!

There is also litters that I had wrote last month were due, well they have kindled! We now have our first litter of fuzzy lops born of three. But you should see our baby born from Mossypossum Butternut and KK Ezra! It has massive build and the cutest apple cheeks! These were are only litters born last month.

Many bunnies have been molting and some still are but not everyone. Many lionheads now have a more dense, full mane, especially the bucks. The does are very nice too. Have been making my selections for Spencerville still watching some juniors before I do make my final cut. Then after Spencerville it will be Syracuse! Very excited about this show! I may be attending St. Nicholas, still not sure. Then after my last show will be the Royal. Will be attending more shows next year, as this year is my first!

Summer or Fall?

We moved the bunnies back into the rabbitry. Since they had spent the winter in the horse barn.

The weather is not great. It rains every afternoon for about 20 minutes  and a overcast or rain is usually what we see more or less. There saying that the next three days are going to be sunny - yeah!

I have now added american fuzzy lops to my herd.

Thank you Angel (Angelic Bunnies) for this oppurtunity!

I will be working only on blue-eyed-whites. Maybe later I will introduce more varieties into my herd. But my main focus will be the BEWs.

Litters due this week and next. I have some holland litters, one fuzzy litter due!!
I recently learnt - with the help of Patsy, thank you! That Buttercup Cher is a vienna carrier and I may start producing bew's in my lionheads. It will take some time. I'm excited to see if her offspring Tip Top Pirate (don't ask about the name!) is a vienna carrier. I will also be working on producing orange lionheads along with my other varieties.

I have updated quite a few pictures of everybody, so take a look around! Still not finish. I have to picture of the older kits, and also the fuzzy lops. Then it's the horses!

Hope for good weather tommarow! Then the farmers can start on the hay!

What a successful show! It was priceless! KK Ezra took RIS (Reserve in Show) and it was his first show in Canada! Talisien Astrid took BOB (Best of Breed), BOS ( Best Opposite Sex) was Tip Top Duke! Tip Top Solo did really well she took third in her class considering she is so young! Tip Top Derby Winner took a very close 2nd place to Talisien Astrid.

The kits in the nest box are doing great! Buttercups Cher had a litter of six! All warm in the all that fur! CBB's Gaia had a litter of one this weekend! My first holland lop litter!!

Friday, June 12th 2009

It has been sometime since I last wrote. . . Over a month. Well let me start, as there is much stuff to tell!

The buns arrivied from Mossypossum! Thanks Becky, Kim and Patsy for this wonderfull oppurtunity!

We are very excited to use Mossypossum Kifle, Bourban and KK Ezra(holland lop) in our breeding program. We have done quite a few breedings with them and acctuly had our first litter born today by Kifle! They arrivied here the beginning of last month. I have done my first holland breeding and expecting a litter in the next few days. CBB's Gaia (bred to KK Ezra) has already started pulling fur and building her nest.

Now a member of the ARBA and have my rabbitry registerd, just in time because....Ormstown Rabbit Show tomarrow! I will be attending the Ormstown show with both my lionheads and holland lops! They classes are different to the junior (6 month under) and senior (6 month and over) class. It is pre junior (3 month under) young (4-6 month) and so on.

Rabbit I will be Bringing!
Tip Top Solo, Talisien Astrid, Tip Top Duke, Tip Top Derby Winner, Seneca Pride doe, KK Ezra, Mossypossum Zynga, Mossypossum Butternut.

Manely Pinacolada (bred to Mossypossum Kifle) had a litter today! This is just the beginning of the litters due!

I will update more next time around. Hop by soon!

Tuesday, May 5th 2009

Yesturday I met with Jennifer to pick some buns up that are going near Toronto to Rachel. I also decided to buy Talisien's Astrid, we are very excited to see this doe grow and we are thinking of showing her with our stock this fall. Thanks Jennifer, we love her!
So today I went to Kingston, to meet and drop off some bunnies. Tip Top Her Highness will now be living in Toronto! Talisien's Patches was also purchased and will be living in Beaverton On. I purchased two holland lop does that will make a great addition to our just starting holland lop program! Thanks Rachel!

We have more holes that will be added to our rabbitry to addition to our 10 hole stainless steel cage, there will be 12 junior cages(now no more chewing on other junior manes!), and 12 other cages. So now it's just setting them up and hooking the water system, plenty of cage space now.

Have had more litters kindled. Coming back from Ottawa I went into the rabbitry and discoverd Manely's Cadbury giving birth and cleaning kits off. She had a total of seven kits! The most we have had born here!
Today coming back from Kingston I found Manely's Pretzel's nest filled with warm hair and two kits. I will probably foster some of Cadbury's kits to Pretzel since Cadbury now has many young to look after, and less would help her!

Been planning breedings for the end of this month and the beginning of next. After the does kindle I will give them all a break off having litters. They will have a month and more off. So now that leaves me more time to start work with my holland herd! I will start to breed probably while the lionheads are off. I may be breeding some along with the lionheads, those who are ready. So things will get busy with more breeding and kindlings then usual. But it well quiet down soon after, but not the shows! I will be bringing a lot of my herd out to the shows this late summer and fall. No litters, but I will be attending quite a few shows, this is one of the reasons I'm doing a lot of breedings these next months.

Thats about all thats been going on around the rabbitry.
Hop by Soon!

 Thursday, April 23rd 2009

This mourning I went to check the rabbitry before leaving for school. I realized our tort doe -  Manely's Harvest had pulled more fur then usuall. This afternoon after I got off the bus I went in the rabbitry to discover a kit in the nest box. It appears to be healthy and in good shape. Harvest was bred to Prideland's Munchkin.

The kits born last month are doing great. They seem to be very promising kits. I will be deciding who to keep out of the litters soon, updated pictures will be coming soon.

Will be doing breedings for late summer and fall shows (as mentioned), so we will be growing most of our juniors (that show promise) until the shows to see who we will keep and show. So will have more stock available then, and the stock that didn't make the cut will be available when weaned. Delivery to any of these shows will be available.

The shippement to BC arrivied safely! Tip Top's Victory and Diva have arrivied and settled in with Anne! Thanks Anne and Wendy!

Thursday, April 16th 2009

I have decided to start a little herd of Holland Lops. They will be arriving in mid May, along with two lionhead bucks from Becky. Thank you both Becky and Pasty!

The litters born are both doing great. All the kits have been coming out of the nest box and roaming around. They seem to be very promising young kits.

We have Manely Harvest due soon. Manely Pretzel has been bred again to Capitano. Her last litter to him was lost in a dog attack in January. Manely's Cadbury has been bred to Pridelands Munchkin.

I will be doing more breeding in the next few months. Starting to breed for the last shows we will be attending this year. Delivery is available to them.
We will be attending the Royal in Toronto and others in fall.

I will be showing Tip Top's Derby Winner this year. He is becoming a very nice buck! So will see how he does on the show table. Poses already like a star! I have decided to retain the sable point buck to keep and show. He has become a very nice little boy. Will be watching how he develops.

Tip Top's Victory and Diva will be going on a combined shippement to BC. Thanks Jennifer! Tomorrow they will be leaving to BC at 6 am. Early, early!!

This is about all that has happened in the Rabbitry. Hop by soon!

APRIL FOOLS

Well we have had litters born this week. Manely's Fiji (bred to Pridelands Munchkin) had a litter of five kits March 24th, and Buttercup's Cher (bred to Pridelands Munchkin) had a litter of six, March 26th. All the kits are doing well and healthy.

I will be probably heading out to Kingston this month to deliver a doe that will be heading to Toronto. Anyone interested can hop onboard.
There is also a shippement going out to BC, combind with Jennifer of Talisien Rabbitry, this month.

I have started updates so by next week everything should be all up to date. Check back soon, for Spring updates!

Monday, March 9th 2009

Manely's Pinacolada has kindled a litter that has been long awaited.
She kindled a litter of four healthy kits. Two look siamese sable and the other two look like sable points. Updated pictures coming soon.

I have updated my Junior Lionheads page, and this coming week will be posting pictures of the kits, and prices. All the kits are growing and exploring.
The litter from Manely's Cadbury and Manely's Capitano is a very nice litter. I expect all the kits to be really showy. Manely's Pretzel and Talisien's Patches litter is very nice aswell. A few different colours in that litter but they are coming to be nice kits.

I have a few litters due this month, once again, so will see who has took and who has not! Even if most of the does were cooperative! My doe that arrivied from BC with Pridelands Munchkin - Manely's Harvest is doing really well. She has pulled fur and proceeds to build a fur nest, even if she is not due until the 18th - 19th! She likes to get things done early - what can I say! The does that are pregnant, seem to be more moody. They are all bred to Prideland's Munchkin, so we will see how he produces for us.
I did do a re-breeding to Manely's Capitano with Manely's Pretzel.

Saturday, February 28th 2009

I recently lost my Jr lionheads to a dog attack. The neighbours dog came in by the back of our barn and entered the stall were the rabbits are kept. The dog managed to open a door of the cages and got to the Jr's, (Showbiz, Show Off, Show Boy and Jelly Bean) the only to survive was Talisien's Patches. His ears are now cut at different parts and he ahs a few other minor scraps. The wounds should heal well since they are clean cuts.

All the kits are doing great! In Manely Pretzel's litter there is 5 chestnut kits. Manely's Cadbury has been doing an excellent job with her litter!

Hopefully Manely's Pinacolada will kindle a healthy litter!
I have bred some does to Pridelands Munchkin and hoping for some March kits. All the does were cooperative!!

 Have a good day!

First BROKEN litter born at Tip Top Rabbitry!
Manely's Pretzel kindled a litter of 5, Thursday.
Cadbury has kindled a litter of 3 kits, today.
She has done an excellent job. Building her nest, covering her kits, feeding... for a first time mom.
All kits from both litters are doing really well and all are healthy!

Pridelands Munchkin and Manely's Harvest are now settled in well and getting used to the routine!

Wednesday, February 18th 2009

The Manely shipement has arrived today! Prideland's Munchkin & Manely's Harvest are installed in their homes and seem to be doing good. They will be both on my show string.

Manely's Pretzel has built her nest today. There is a slight chance that she will kindle broken, she was bred to Talisien's Patches. Poor Cadbury, she has built a nest, eats it and is starting once again! Her mood has definitely changed.

I must thank Wendy (of Manely Rabbits) & Jennifer (of Talisien Lionheads) for the opportunity to get both Munchkin and Harvest to my Rabbitry!
Thank You!

Pridelands Munchkin arriving Wednesday along with a Manely's Harvest. Excited to have Munchkin in my Rabbitry! He is by Mossypossums Johnny Blaze (Winner of 5 Best of Breeds, 2 Best Opposite Sex of Breeds, 1st Statler Memorial Award 2008 NALRC National Show)
and Pridelands Shadow (Sr BOSV Grham B 3-08 ).
Always nice to have a Johnny Blaze decendant in the Rabbitry!

I recently got 10 new stainless steel cages. Equiped with a water system, grills that do not give sore hocks and a great view of there surroundings!

Have three litters due this week, so will see who took and who didn't. The week after that there is two litters due. Hopefully I will have some broken kits by Talisien's Patches. Anxious to see what Manely's Capitano will throw this time. Last litter he was bred to Manely's Pretzel and all three kits are show stoppers!
